Lately, so many celebrities have undergone a weight loss surgery. Gabourey Sidibe shared her reviews about the experience.
For those who may not know Gabourey Sidibe, she’s a well-known star in Hollywood.
Despite battling with her anxiety, depression, and bulimia, she tried her level best to overcome with all these situations and finally she found a way out.
Some believes that Gabourey Sidibe had every intention to move towards the surgery’s direction but some sources have extracted her own statement which is “I just didn’t want to worry,” Sidibe, 33, tells the magazine of her decision to get laparoscopic bariatric surgery after she and her older brother were diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes.
“I truly didn’t want to worry about all the effects that go along with diabetes. I genuinely [would] worry all the time about losing my toes”.
Gabourey entered into the fame after appearing in the hit movie the Precious.

Gabourey Sidibe tried so many ways to overcome the massive weight issue and it’s been almost 10 years she was trying other ways until May 2016 she pursued surgery.
This effort has changed her life the way she used to look at it.
The food she consumes is a lot different than before.
After the surgery, Gabourey did share that her surgeon told her about cutting her stomach in half which ultimately will affect the hunger and limit her capacity to eat.
The surgery has also affected her brain vital functions which have changed her perspective to eat unnecessarily and eat healthy diets from now on.
Sidibe’s has a rough childhood, Gabourey used to admire eating food ever since she was a little girl.
After her parents divorced she started to suffer from agonizing conditions as anxiety, depression and of course bulimia nervosa which is the main reason of her excessive eating and weight gain.
But after going to a therapy she started to love herself all over again.
“It has taken me years to realize that what I was born with is all beautiful,” she writes. “I did not get this surgery to be beautiful.
I did it so I can walk around comfortably in heels. I want to do a cartwheel. I want not to be in pain every time I walk up a flight of stairs.”
Since the past few months, Sidibe has been showing her weight loss magic on Instagram with her fans encouraging her on in the comments.
Gabourey Sidibe, in other words, has started a new culture which only demands your mind pure focus on your body needs to change the way you eat.
People with outrageous weight gain have certainly picked a great lesson out of her life story and they can change their lives too.
Gabourey also discussed her post surgery experience about her life with PEOPLE, where she claims that she’s single and ready to mingle, means she’s open for dating.
“I looked around a good five months ago, and I realized: Every single person that I hang out with is either a gay man or a woman, and neither one of those people are gonna (expletive) me,” she joked. “Or marry me. That’s the ultimate goal.”
Although with a weight gain like this, many people get their dreams shattered of getting married or find a partner in their lives.

Gabourey Sidibe is a live example of how a person can change her life with her own decisions.
As she pursued to the weight loss surgery and things started to get normal, now she can date anyone she wants to.
There was a time when Sidibe has previously faced twitter harassment including the ugly comments about her.
In response to that, she twitted “To people making mean comments about my GG pics, I mos def cried about it on that private jet on my way to my dream job last night. #JK”. The girl is going places now!
Her journey to body positivity has brought her to some of the spectacular destination because of which now she has been getting so many offers for different roles in movies.
The girl has started her journey from a point of depression, but hey!
Who we are to judge, her single decision has taken her to the zenith of fame and now her spoken words turn into inspirational quotes for her followers.
As far as her sexual life concerns, after moving to Los Angeles last spring, the Oscar-nominated actress took a break from dating, but now she’s ready to get back in the game.
There’s nothing ugly about me. Anyone trying to convince me that I am — and it’s usually me — is wasting her time,” she says.
“I was in a war with my body for a long time. If I’d started treating it better sooner, I wouldn’t have spent so many years hating myself. But I love my body now.
